Determining and Writing for an Audience

When writing for an audience there are many things to consider. Through things such as, knowledge the audience has, the demographic, the intention and many other factors imperative to succesfully targeting the product/ information. To me audience and purpose are intrinsic and are not mutually exclusive, you must have one with the other.
